Health checks are essential to identify warning signs of diseases. Early detection is the key to treating many diseases in the body. This article here cites the most important health checks for you. 1. Complete blood count with ESR: A complete blood count is a group of tests that evaluate the cells that circulate in the blood. The CBC can determine your overall health.


2. Serum Cholesterol: A cholesterol test is done to determine the level of bad cholesterol in your blood. A high level of LDL cholesterol can put you at risk of heart disease.


3. Random Blood Sugar: This is to check your blood sugar levels. If your blood sugar levels are higher, you may have pre-diabetes or diabetes. If your blood sugars are on the higher side, you may have to do the test again on another day to get a perfect idea of your blood sugar reading.


4. Serum creatinine: A serum creatinine test is a measure of how well your kidneys are functioning. Creatinine is filtered out of your blood by healthy kidneys.


5. Chest X-ray: Chest X-ray helps to detect problems with the heart and lungs.


6. Urine Routine: A urine test can help detect a wide range of ailments, including diabetes, kidney ailments, and infection in the urinary tract. Five standard urine tests are conducted to access different components of urine.


7. ECG: An ECG provides information about your heart rate and rhythm. It also detects enlargement of the heart due to hypertension or evidence of previous Myocardial infarction.


8. Thyroid test: A Thyroid test is done to diagnose hyperthyroidism, a condition in which the body produces too much thyroid hormone or hypothyroidism. The body produces fewer thyroid hormones. The thyroid hormones affect every organ, influencing heart rate, digestion, body weight, energy levels, and mood.



9.Pap smear: The Pap test is done by taking the cells from the surface of the cervix inside the vagina. Detecting any type of cancer early on gives a better chance of recovery.


10.Mammography: A mammogram is an X-ray of both breasts. A mammogram helps detect breast cancer early. Also, physical examination is done by the doctor to check for lumps in the breast; the physical difference in size and shape of each breast and nipples may be checked if fluid is expressed when lightly squeezed. 11.Serum calcium test: A serum calcium test is done to detect calcium levels in your blood. Hypercalcemia is a condition in which calcium levels in your blood are high. Too much calcium weakens the bones, creates kidney stones, and interferes with the functioning of the heart and brain. Hypocalcemia: This is when there is a calcium deficiency in the blood, which can cause weak nails, slow hair growth, and osteoporosis.


12.Ultrasound Abdomen & Pelvis: A pelvic ultrasound is used to check female pelvic organs and structures, including the uterus, cervix, vagina, fallopian tubes, and ovaries. Abdominal ultrasound is used to check the gallbladder, kidneys, liver, pancreas, and spleen.
