The following tips will help you take great pictures on your cellphone no matter what brand of phone you are using.

Tip 1: Clean the phone lens well before taking the picture. Most of the time, there is a thin layer of dirt on the lens. This makes the images soft.

Tip 2: Do not take pictures against the light. This simply means that light should fall on the subject from the front or even the side but not from behind the subject. Backlight will produce unwanted glare, which looks terrible most of the time.

Tip 3: When the light is low, just hold the camera and ask the google assistant to take a picture. This will minimize blur due to camera shake.

Tip 4 .Take at least 3 shots per picture. There will always be the best picture among the three.

Tip 5. Avoid Digital zoom as the quality of the picture taken goes down as the zooming is done in the software and not by the camera optics or camera lens. Also, the more you zoom more, the more the image is blurry due to shaking.

Tip 6. Use editing apps like Snapseed or Pics art to further enhance your image. These are available free on the google play store.

Tip 7. Apply Rule of thirds: Rule of thirds will teach you to compose images better and make your pictures look more pleasing to the eye. There are loads of videos on YouTube of the same.

Tip 8. Always shoot at the maximum resolution of your camera. This will help you crop or compose images later, and you will not lose quality while doing so.

Tip 9: Zoom with your feet: You have to move close to your subject to take a picture rather than zoom.

Tip 10: Shoot from above eye level when taking a selfie. Hold the camera as far as possible with an outstretched hand. This is especially helpful if you have a double chin.

Tip 11: Find out your best side. Hold the camera on each side of your face and take a picture. Look at the pictures and see which side looks more flattering.

Tip 12: If you are camera shy, then here is an excellent recommendation for you. Close your eyes, then open and smile. You will get a much natural smile in your pictures.

Tip 13: While taking a selfie, check for the best light by holding your phone above eye level, the picture taking handheld as far as possible, and slowly move in a circle. You will know which is the best in terms of light as well as with minimum background clutter.

Tip 14: Ladies can use a little more makeup because the phone generally softens the image. So the makeup won’t show, and your pictures will look more flattering.
